Janet’s career in human resources spans generalist and broad-based compensation experience in corporate and line operations. In addition to extensive expertise in total rewards and recognition, she is experienced in talent acquisition and development, succession planning, organizational design, performance management, best practice research, and competitive analysis of program offerings in the marketplace. She has worked inside large companies on significant reorganizations, acquisitions, policy development/integration and the creation/implementation of strategies to attract, select and retain targeted talent.
During her years on staff within the insurance/financial services sector, she researched, developed and supported the implementation of competitive, equitable and cost-effective base and variable pay programs, policies and practices enabling managers to maximize individual, unit, and overall company performance. Business areas included information technology, service operations, printing operations, sales, marketing, finance, legal, and actuarial organizations.
As an external resource, Janet provided consulting and project management services to major initiatives dealing with a full range of HR issues. Clients value her strength in relationship building and effectiveness at identifying issues, leading teams, and partnering with management to produce pragmatic, effective solutions.
Janet holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Hartford and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. She is a member of WorldatWork, the Colonial Total Rewards Association (CTRA), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
