Andy Thiede of Berlin, a 25+ year HR professional recently awarded three certification scholarships to help other HR professionals in Connecticut.
“With a passion for HR, and a desire to give back to the profession, I created this scholarship in 2016 to help offset the expense of certification for HR colleagues. My HR career has been wonderfully rewarding and I want to give back, to help HR professionals advance in their career,” stated Andy Thiede.
For 2020, Andy selected three recipients for the certification scholarship: Jennifer Carty of Windsor, Chelsea Golon of Ellington, and Joseph Lehocky of Shelton. Thanks to the scholarships, all three will be testing for advanced HR certifications later this year.
Andy is an HR consultant with KardasLarson based in Glastonbury, and she also serves in various roles for four non-profit associations in Connecticut, including: board member, director of chapter operations, chapter administrator, advisor, treasurer, and association manager.
For more than 20 years, she has been a member of Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut (HRACC) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and she holds both SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.
This is the 5th consecutive year of the Andy Thiede Scholarship, and more than $4,500 has been awarded to HR professionals throughout Connecticut.
