What can human resources do to influence an organization’s culture, and improve profitability?
Human resources helps to establish the environment for organizational success through: design and implementation of an enabling and collaborative organizational structure to achieve the mission and vision to provide superior products and services for customers and clients; recruiting and retaining the right individuals in the right positions; and developing and implementing policies that promote employee satisfaction and performance.

What is one of the most common and costly mistakes leaders make regarding business operations?
Leaders must utilize a balanced approach in enabling their people to do what needs to be done and holding them accountable for results – not too much hands-off and not too much micro-management. People are hired for their capability. The business leader must find the right ways to optimize their individual performance within an optimized team dynamic to deliver the best results for the customers, the business, and the employees.

What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned from previous jobs?
It’s all about the people. Getting the right people on board and getting them to support the organization’s mission and vision is critical to business success. Providing the right tools and technology, providing the strategic focus to guide decisions and efforts, and allocating the right level of resources and support (including HR) help to foster the success of the team and the individual employees.

Let’s create a win-win culture so your employees, and your organization, can prosper.

KardasLarson is a human resources and business consulting firm that maximizes employee performance so people and organizations prosper.
