By July 1, 2022 the proposed regulations state that Connecticut employers must distribute a Notice of Employee Rights to their employees, notifying them of Connecticut FMLA and Connecticut Paid Leave. The Connecticut Department of Labor has provided a sample template.
This Notice must be provided to employees at the time of hire, and then annually by July 1, 2022 thereafter. Employers may choose to also place this Notice of Rights in their handbook, but if doing so, they should still remember to inform their employees annually.
