Manchester Community College’s Professional Development Program selected Lois Krause to teach a credit-free educational class “Your Strategic HR Toolbox: Best Practices for Managing Employees.” The class is held on three consecutive Thursdays beginning October 12, 2017, from 8:30 am to 11:00 am, SSC Room L240. Registration is $90.
This new class is targeted to local business owners and managers to help their organization grow and prosper. Krause has advanced certifications in HR and is Practice Leader – HR Compliance with KardasLarson, one of Connecticut’s leading HR consulting firms.
During the three sessions, the class will discuss the functions of human resources from a strategic perspective; not as an afterthought or from a defensive position. The class will cover policy/compliance development; pay/benefit strategies; recruiting strategies that include onboarding; motivation and retention; and training and development, including performance management, corrective actions, and separations, if necessary. Most businesses only look at their financial capital; attendees will learn to regard human capital in the same manner, as it relates to starting, expanding, acquiring, downsizing, or selling/divesting a business.
To register, call 860-512-3232 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday, using your Discover Card, MasterCard or Visa. To learn more go to www.manchestercc.edu/catalogs/ and click on the 2017 Fall Credit-Free Catalog, go to page 59.
