Preserve Your E-Verify Records
iPad Calendar
March 28, 2017

As of March 31, 2017, USCIS will begin to purge their E-Verify records dating back before, December 31, 2006, and will purge each year thereafter, so they retain only 10 years’ worth of data.

This link will enable you to download your Instructions for a “Historic Records Report” in E-Verify:

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Verification/E-Verify/E-Verify_Native_Documents/Instructions_to_Download_Historic_Reports_in_E-Verify.pdf

This will provide you with the information you will need if you have an audit and can no longer access those records for your “legal” employees. You will receive an archive number to attach to your records for future reference. Don’t delay – March 31st is Friday!

If you need help securing your E-Verify Records, or if you have any other HR needs, KardasLarson is here to help – Give us a call!
