As of March 31, 2017, USCIS will begin to purge their E-Verify records dating back before, December 31, 2006, and will purge each year thereafter, so they retain only 10 years’ worth of data.

This will provide you with the information you will need if you have an audit and can no longer access those records for your “legal” employees. You will receive an archive number to attach to your records for future reference. Don’t delay – March 31st is Friday!
